Studio City Martial Arts Director Chadwick Minge presents the President’s Volunteer Service Bronze Award to Jhaqai Rankin, a remarkable young man in our community. Jhaqai earned this prestigious award for completing over fifty hours of volunteer service in a single year.
In the words of his justifiably proud parents: “Jhaqai is a compassionate, caring leader. He is compassionate and respectful towards all others giving many hours for fundraising and collections for the San Fernando Mission and providing service to the Children’s Hunger Fund. He is incredibly caring, not only to other children and adults, but also to trees, plants, others property, insects and animals (with a special joy for cats.) He enjoys leadership opportunities he finds in cub scouts, tackling his achievements and electives with vigor while helping other scouts do their best. He loves basketball, camping and nature. Jhaqai is a member of the California Virtual Academy of Los Angeles. His favorite subjects in school are science and math. We see endless possibilities in Jhaqai’s future. We are truly grateful to have him as our son. We proudly acknowledge him for his spectacular achievement in our community.”
